Thursday...
I may have mentioned Little Miss Tendai a few times on this blog.
You know. Short, cute, almost 18 months old, my best little buddy/little darling/little dear/love of my life/highlight of every day, etc, etc. I could go on. Really.

Here is Tendai with her mom and dad, Rick and Heather (taken WAY back in October when Tendai was so little!). Rick and Heather have been in the process of adopting Tendai for some months now and just today they were informed that this Thursday they have a court date. At this court date the judge is expected to either approve or deny the adoption. We, of course, are praying and hoping for his approval!
Please be praying for Rick and Heather and little Tendai!

An interlude...
He thought.
He pondered.
He looked up at me, paused, and then said in the tiniest little voice:
"Mzungu?"
I laughed and laughed and laughed.
Mzungu is the general term for all white people here, which is really what made this exchange so funny.
Your name?
Why yes, I believe I have heard it...
It's on the tip of my tongue, really.
This is terribly embarrassing. You look so familiar...
Oh, wait. Yes! Now I've got it!
"Mzungu!"

This morning at the school...
The Girl's Club attendees show off their artwork. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I watch a round of a game that I can't quite catch the name of while waiting for health class to start. It makes me want to play Mweso. Why didn't I bring my board with me?
An unruly crowd of boys (and I mean that in the most endearing way possible) exchange punching, shouting, running, etc for paper and pencil crayons.
